Tiffin University to Participate in CFA Institute’s University Affiliation Program®

Tiffin University has been approved to participate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Institute’s University Affiliation Program (UAP®). This approval means that TU finance students will now be able to apply for financial aid scholarships on behalf of the CFA®, and the University will have access to CFA®-sanctioned coursework and exams for teaching purposes.

“This is sure to be a highly beneficial partnership,” says Dr. Peter J. Holbrook, Provost and Chief Academic Officer. “Not only will this directly impact our finance students, but earning the privilege to utilize these top-tier teaching materials will only further strengthen the already-reputable curriculum. Furthermore, being able to advertise TU as a CFA®-endorsed institution will surely promote an increase in enrollment for the major.”

Acceptance into the UAP® signifies that Tiffin University’s finance curriculum utilizes at least 70 percent of the CFA® Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), and that the University’s finance classes place an emphasis on the CFA Institute’s® Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Collegiate programs meeting these standards have a history of producing students equipped to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charter.

The CFA Institute® is the global association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence and credentials. The organization is a champion of ethical behavior in investment markets and a respected source of knowledge in the global financial community. Its aim is to create an environment where investors’ interests come first, markets function at their best and economies grow.
