The results are in and the voters have spoken: Milford Schools are big winners in the Milford-Miami Township Chamber of Commerce 2022 WHAMM! awards.
WHAMM stands for Who are the Heroes Around Milford Miami Township. According to the Chamber, the WHAMM awards are “our way of recognizing all the superhero businesses in our region that have overcome the supervillains of the past couple years – and who continue to work and fight no matter what challenge comes their way, to help make this such a great place to live, work, and own a business.”
The Chamber sought community nominations and with 7,779 votes tallied, Milford Schools won several categories:
- Best Large Business
- Best Adaptation during COVID (Teachers & Staff)
- Most School Spirit: Feed Our Flock
- Best Local Band: Milford HS Band
- Best Preschool: Milford Preschool and Extended Day
Superintendent John Spieser and members of his team attended the Chamber’s awards gala on April 7 at the Little Miami Brewing Event Center to accept the district’s awards.
