Business Owners Recognized | City of Loveland
At the Jan. 10 meeting, City Council recognized several local business owners.
Mayor Kathy Bailey proclaimed January 2023 a month of celebration as Plaid Room Records celebrates its 15th anniversary. Owners Terry and Bob Cole have created one of the Midwest’s largest record shops in terms of sales volume — right here in Historic Downtown Loveland. They not only run the record store but also operate a successful international music label, Colemine Records.
Additionally, Mayor Bailey recognized Jamie and Scott Gordon, former owners of The Works Brick Oven Pizza. The Gordons owned and operated The Works for the past 20 years, recently selling at the end of 2022.
Mayor Bailey honored the Gordons as Colonel Paxton Rangers, an award that recognizes distinguished service by Loveland area citizens who improve the city Colonel Paxton founded.
“Not only are Scott and Jamie successful business owners, but they are also valued members of the community who embody the same principles of Loveland’s first permanent settler, Colonel Thomas Paxton. The Gordons have made many contributions to the City of Loveland and can be credited with helping to begin the city’s revitalization in the early 2000s,” Bailey explained.
