State Representative Adam Bird (R-New Richmond) announced the opening of the USDA Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) application. This program offers financial aid to farmers affected by natural disasters in 2023 and 2024, with $16 billion in federal funding available.

"We stand with our farmers and the vital work they do for our community," said Rep. Bird. "I'm hopeful that this program will promptly provide strong support."

Eligible producers include those who suffered losses due to various natural disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, floods, derechos, excessive heat, tornadoes, winter storms, freeze (including a polar vortex), smoke exposure, excessive moisture, qualifying droughts, and related conditions.

To apply for SDRP, producers must submit the FSA-526 form along with other required forms on file with FSA.
