HOMEARAMA 2022 Concludes in City

The 59th annual HOMEARAMA®, presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati (HBA), took place Sept. 3-18 at the city’s newest community, Chimney Ridge.

The show outpaced its attendance expectations, topping 24,000 attendees. This marked the first time since 1989 that a show had been held in the City of Loveland.

“HOMEARAMA® was a great event for our city and gave thousands of people the opportunity to see what the City of Loveland has to offer,” said Mayor Kathy Bailey.

As a parting gift, the HBA donated a super-sized Adirondack chair to the city, which has been placed in front of City Hall at the city’s new outdoor dining area, or “pocket park.”

During the show, the chair was used as a photo-op and Instagram station. The chair was built by student builders at Scarlet Oaks Career Campus and hand-painted by a University of Cincinnati student artist. It features scenes of Loveland and the HOMEARAMA® 2022 theme #BuildLove.

“HOMEARAMA® celebrates community and having this opportunity to work with local schools and talented students is a wonderful way to strengthen community bonds,” said Lora Brand, HBA Executive Director. “The oversized chair will continue to #BuildLove after the show through its donation to the City of Loveland.”

The 16-day event featured six fully decorated and landscaped homes to tour, plus a tiny home. Additionally, nearly each day showcased live entertainment or a unique theme where attendees could participate in fun activities.

For instance, the city hosted a “Loveland Residents Day” on Sept. 9, and HOMEARAMA® offered discounted admission to residents. More than 140 residents took advantage of the offer. Throughout the day, the Loveland Police Department, Loveland-Symmes Fire Department, Loveland Sustainability Council, and city administration staffed booths to distribute information and answer questions. LPD and LSFD brought vehicles for a touch-a-truck event.

Located on the Warren County side of the city, ChimneyRidge is located on 26 wooded acres off Butterworth Road. When fully built out, the community will feature 30 homesites. To learn more, please visit https://www.cincyhomearama.com/ or https://chimneyridgeloveland.com/.
