Milford Exempted Village Schools recently issued the following announcement.
The Milford High School Teacher Academy recently had ten students qualify for national-level competition at the recent Ohio Educators Rising Conference at Capital University in Bexley, Ohio.
Milford had students compete in 12 competitions and six of those will be moving on to the next level. Of these ten students, three are sophomores. Most of the teams represented were made up of juniors and seniors. Fewer than 20 sophomores competed conference and three of those were from Milford.
Ohio's Educators Rising organization is a division of the Ohio Dept. of Education and is for middle and high school students interested in education-related careers. Educators Rising Ohio began as Future Teachers of America in 1936. The state conference is an opportunity for students to take part in informational breakout sessions, hear from former Teachers of the Year, and compete in various exercises.
Those attending the competition were Carson Barclay, Katelyn Braner,, Brooklyn Casto, Mikaila Dinkins, Reese Egan, Natalie Haynes, Baylee Hook, Jessica Hore, Ella Hummel, Sarah Kilmore, Mallory Klingshirn, Alexandra Marshall, Clara Morlock, Savannah Smith and Aaliyah Worsham.
The honors are as follows:
- Milford-Great Oaks Honors Chapter Recognition (based on GPA and community service)
- Second in the statewide community service project - TPA collected school supplies throughout the district for Feed Our Flock.

- Exploring Careers in Education Administration- Clara Morlock
- Ethical Dilemma & Debate - Natalie Haynes, Mikaila Dinkins and Reese Egan
- Inside Our Schools - Ella Hummel, Baylee Hook, Mallory Klingshirn
- Researching Learning Challenges - Jessie Hore & Sarah Kilmore
