The Ohio House of Representatives has successfully passed the Ohio Homeowners Relief Act, known as House Bill 187. The bill, sponsored by State Rep Adam Bird (R-New Richmond), aims to provide relief to Ohio homeowners by introducing changes to how property taxes are determined.Under the new legislation, the Tax Commissioner will collaborate with local elected officials to assess a county's property values over the past three years.
