There were 170 Asian or Pacific Islander students enrolled in West Clermont Local Schools in the 2022-23 school year, an increase from the 169 Asian or Pacific Islander students in the previous school year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Data showed that West Clermont Local Schools welcomed 7,718 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian or Pacific Islander students made up 2.2% of the student body, making them the least represented ethnicity in the district.

West Clermont Local Schools roughly covers nine schools within Clermont County and has its main office in Cincinnati.

Among the nine schools in West Clermont Local Schools, West Clermont High School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian or Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 48 students.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. This marks an improvement for the state, especially compared to 2016, when the ratio reached its decade-high at 16.1 students per teacher.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
