Representative Adam Bird named co-chair for Ohio redistricting committee

State Rep. Adam Bird | The Ohio House of Representatives

Speaker of the Ohio House Matt Huffman and Senate President Rob McColley have named members to the Joint Committee on Congressional Redistricting, following requirements in the Ohio Constitution.

State Representative Adam Bird has been appointed as co-chair of the committee by Speaker Huffman. Other House members joining him are State Representatives Nick Santucci, Brian Stewart, D.J. Swearingen, House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn, and State Rep. Desiree Tims.

Senate President McColley selected State Senator Jane Timken as co-chair from the Senate side. Additional Senate members are Senators Theresa Gavarone, Steve Huffman, Bill Reineke, Senate Minority Leader Nickie J. Antonio, and Senator Willis E. Blackshear Jr.

According to the announcement, "The co-chairs will be sending out additional details on the first meeting, which will be held on Monday, September 22nd, 2025."
