Washington, D.C. - Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) issued this statement following his support for passage of security funding bills supporting U.S. allies:

Wenstrup emphasized the importance of American leadership in countering global threats, stating, "I have spent my life protecting the liberties of the American people and shielding them from harm, and this vote was no exception." He highlighted the principle of "America First means America leads," stressing the need to stand by allies in various regions.

Expressing concern over the situation in Ukraine, Wenstrup criticized President Biden's lack of a clear strategy against Russian President Putin. He stated, "When it comes to Ukraine, I've been long past frustrated with President Biden’s inability to articulate a strategy for victory against Putin."

Addressing border security issues, Wenstrup attributed weaknesses at the border to President Biden's actions. He accused Biden of misleading the public regarding the need for Congressional action, stating, "While Biden flounders, the American people must know Biden is lying every time he claims to need Congress to close the border."

Concluding his statement, Wenstrup called for a change in leadership, asserting, "Due to Biden’s disastrous foreign policy, Congress must again come to the rescue. This only stops when the American people send Biden back to Delaware for good."
