Dr. Anthony Fauci, the renowned face of America's public health response during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be appearing before the 118th Congress for the first time in a two-day, transcribed interview. The interview is scheduled to take place on January 8, 2024, and January 9, 2024. In addition to this interview, Dr. Fauci has also agreed to testify at a public hearing later in the year.

Chairman Brad Wenstrup of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic made the announcement, outlining the terms of Dr. Fauci's testimony. The interview will consist of seven hours of testimony per day, excluding breaks. Dr. Fauci will be accompanied by two personal and two government counsel during the interview. The date for the public hearing is yet to be determined.

According to Chairman Wenstrup, Dr. Fauci's testimony is of utmost importance for the Select Subcommittee's investigations into various aspects of the pandemic. These investigations include the origin of COVID-19, coercive mandates, gain-of-function research, scientific censorship, and more. Chairman Wenstrup emphasized the need for honesty during Dr. Fauci's testimonies, stating that it is non-negotiable.

He said, "Americans deserve trusted public health leaders who prioritize the well-being of our people over any personal or political goals. Thankfully, retirement from public service does not shield one from Congressional oversight nor accountability to the American people. During Dr. Fauci's upcoming testimonies, honesty is non-negotiable."

The Select Subcommittee has previously presented evidence regarding Dr. Fauci's involvement in the drafting of the "Proximal Origin" publication, which aimed to disprove the lab leak theory. It was revealed that Dr. Fauci cited this paper from the White House podium without disclosing his own involvement in prompting its publication. Additionally, the Subcommittee also uncovered that Dr. Fauci was aware of dangerous gain-of-function research taking place in Wuhan, China before the emergence of COVID-19 but did not make this information public.

Chairman Wenstrup's letter to Dr. Fauci, detailing the terms of the transcribed interview, can be found on the Select Subcommittee's website.

Dr. Fauci's upcoming testimonies are expected to provide valuable insights into the controversies surrounding the pandemic. As the face of America's public health response, his statements will play a crucial role in understanding the origin of COVID-19 and addressing concerns regarding scientific censorship and transparency. The American people eagerly await Dr. Fauci's testimony, hoping for honest and comprehensive answers to the questions that have arisen during and after the pandemic.
