University of Cincinnati women's basketball junior guard Jillian Hayes was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll on Monday.
This is the second straight week and third time in her career that Hayes has been selected for the weekly award.
The Cincinnati native led the team in scoring in both games, while averaging 18.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals on 65.2 percent from the field last week. Hayes neared a double-double with 16 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two steals at North Carolina A&T on Dec. 1. She followed up that performance with her sixth career 20-point game, turning in a game-high 20 points, six rebounds and five assists vs. UIC on Dec. 4.
Hayes has scored in double figures in each of the last eight contests. Her three double-doubles on the season are tied for third in the conference and 38th nationally.
Cincinnati will travel two miles across town to take on Xavier in the annual Crosstown Shootout on Friday, Dec. 9 inside Cintas Center at 7 p.m. ET.
