Scam Alert: Beware of Fake Water Service Phone Calls

The Loveland Police Department received information that City of Loveland residents may receive a call from Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) claiming their water service will be shut off due to lack of payment. The caller ID may even show the actual number for GCWW.

City of Loveland residents enjoy city water service directly from the city and not from GCWW. The City of Loveland or GCWW will never call and demand immediate payment over the phone. These are scam callers trying to steal your private information/money.

If you receive a phone call, please notify LPD by calling (513) 677-7000 and requesting an officer take a report.
