LSFD Awarded Grant for Leadership Training

The Loveland-Symmes Fire Department has been awarded a Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant through FEMA for leadership training. The purpose of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program is to protect the health and safety of the public and firefighting personnel against fire and fire-related hazards.

This marks the seventh grant received by LSFD in the past two years for equipment and training.

The grant is for $242,500.08 and will cover the department’s Leadership Academy, as well as sending staff to specialized training like the Ohio Fire Executive Program and company officer development training.

Most recently, in August 2022, LSFD was awarded a federal grant for equipment and training.
