City of Loveland recently issued the following announcement.

Mayor Kathy Bailey declared Feb. 8, 2022, as Eric Partee Day in the City of Loveland.

Partee is the former Executive Director of the Little Miami Conservancy, an organization which he has served for the past 40 years.

“I urge all citizens to wish Eric the best in his retirement and remember his hard work and dedication that returned the Little Miami National Wild & Scenic River to its natural beauty,” said Bailey.

Under his direction, the Little Miami Conservancy and its partners have been a leading steward of the river, restoring 57% of the riverbanks through land conservation and restoration. In addition, thanks to his ability to work with riverfront landowners, developers and local officials, more than 110 nature preserves have been established and 50,000 trees and 200 acres of native prairies have been planted along the Little Miami National Wild & Scenic River and its tributaries.

Through his leadership, Partee has shared his passion for preserving the river with thousands of kids. He’s championed educational programs and fishing clinics about river ecosystems, local wildlife, and conservation.
