Masking requirement extended through Tuesday, Jan. 25

3

Milford Exempted Village Schools recently issued the following announcement.

Due to a continuing high level of positive COVID-19 cases reported by staff and students, Milford Exempted Village Schools will extend its short-term masking requirement through Tuesday, Jan. 25. This applies to all grades K-12.

District nursing staff believes that this short extension will allow the number of staff and student quarantines to decrease, will allow many to return to school, and will reduce the burden of contact tracing on district staff members.

At the end of the day on Tuesday, Jan. 25, the mask requirement will be lifted. Milford will continue to be a mask-friendly district. We welcome students, staff and families who choose to wear a mask to continue to do so.

Please note: This extension applies during school hours only. Masking during before- or after-school activities is not required. This begins today, Friday, Jan. 21 at 4 p.m.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we try to keep staff and students safe and in school.
