Short-term masking requirement in place until Jan. 21.

Milford Exempted Village School recently issued the following announcement.

Due to a recent significant spike in COVID-19 cases reported by staff and students, Milford Exempted Village Schools will once again require masks for staff and students in all school buildings beginning Tuesday, Jan. 11. This applies to all grades PreK-12.

This new mask requirement starts on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 and runs through Friday, Jan. 21, 2022.

Masks will be required both in school and at all school and district-sponsored activities. Students will not be required to wear a mask when they are actively eating, participating in athletics and other activities where mask wearing will affect performance.

As a reminder, school will not be in session on Monday, Jan. 17, so this mask mandate will impact eight school days.

At the end of this period, Milford staff will reassess case numbers and determine if the new masking directive will continue.

Thank you for your cooperation as we try to keep staff and students safe and in school, and help slow the spread of COVID-19.
