PIERCE TOWNSHIP, OHIO: Pierce Township Waste Levy will apply to former Village residents in 2021

Pierce Township, Ohio issued the following announcement on Dec. 04.

Pierce Township Waste Levy will apply to former Village residents in 2021

The Pierce Township Trustees are hopeful that the transition process will move swiftly from this point forward.  Since each Township has been providing all essential services the remaining transition process should be seamless, however, beginning in January 2021, residents will be included in all Township property tax levies.  On the Pierce Township side of the former Village, Rumpke will no longer bill individuals for waste collection and recycling since these units will be covered by the Pierce Township Waste Levy under the same terms and conditions as all other residents.  Rumpke’s last billing carried residents through the end of December.  Pierce’s contract is similar to what has been provided to Amelia in the past, but recycling will be collected weekly and there is an allowance for one large item to be collected at the curb.  An overview of our collection rules are accessible from our website (click here)
